Satan’s Subliminal Temptation

Posted by on May 16, 2013 in Daily Inspiration, Overcoming Discouragement, Uncategorized |

Do we honestly take Jesus at his word when he says “I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you” (John 14:20)? Do we honestly believe we are made in His image as stated in Genesis 1:26? Satan loves to cast doubt in our minds with regards to these two foundational truths. Satan tempted Eve by implying that Adam and Eve are not ALREADY like God—as God Himself stated in the first chapter of Genesis. Satan said to Eve, “You will not die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God.” In reality he is planting a seed of doubt. There is a subtle temptation hidden within the temptation to eat the fruit; it is a temptation not to believe that we were created in the image and likeness of God. Jesus is the New Adam, and he experienced the same temptation that Adam and Eve did. Thankfully, through His example, The Fall did not happen again. Jesus passed the test. Consider this, the Latin phrase for Salvation is salus, which means health, safety, well-being. Health, means alignment with God, and ultimately union with God. Health means to walk and think and speak and create in alignment with Him. This is possible as we are made in His likeness. Let today be the day that you remove all doubt, and realign your heart with Him. Let the healing and resurrecting begin in your life...

Accurate Thinking

Posted by on Dec 31, 2012 in Blog, Daily Inspiration, Uncategorized |

As we move into the New Year, I would like to share with you what most people say was Napoleon Hill’s most important Law in his timeless and legendary book, Think and Grow Rich.  It’s called, Accurate Thinking. The opposite of that – inaccurate thinking – is the one thing that I believe gets people locked into a life full of mediocrity and complacency. Instead of boldly living and creating the life that God desires for them where they thrive. There are many other things that are characteristic of people who settle instead of pursuing what they really want such as: timidity, fear, comfort, and laziness. Most people simply lie to themselves to cover up the obvious, to paint a prettier picture, to pretend as though something is what it isn’t. This goes for all aspects of life: love, money, health, etc… I have been thinking a lot about reality lately and it’s time we talk about Truth in OUR life. In order to achieve the health and life God intends for us to have, we must first change our perspective of reality. “…The truth will set you free” (John 8:32). God’s Word can help us in every season of life. It grounds us in our mind to focus on heavenly goals, by helping us to think accurately. The reason accurate thinking is important is because it’s the source for all other decisions.  It’s the source to be able to judge and discern what the ultimate price tag for life is: OPPORTUNITY vs. COST. God provides us many opportunities, but many times we are not willing to move on these opportunities for fear of the cost—mainly self-sacrifice, where we put aside our selfish desires of the flesh and focus on God’s desires for our life. For me, opportunity vs. cost is a huge part of the victory equation for life.  When you do something to move you toward success NOW, you aren’t doing something else that simply takes up your time with a wasteful use of it. Thinking accurately about your reality will lead to better decisions in all aspects of your life. Tomorrow is the first month of the year; here are some key things to think about: – Where did you plan to be in your life or maybe your career one year ago? – Where are you right now in reaching those goals? – Where do you want to be one year from today? After asking those questions, attempt to accurately assess what the gap is between where you want to be and where you are right now. Once you do that, you must then ask yourself what is going to be different in your life....

Fan or Follower?

Posted by on Nov 26, 2012 in Daily Inspiration |

God does not want fans of Jesus Christ. He wants followers. Are you following in all areas of your life…including your health? Don’t just know the promises God has for you, don’t just say them, but BELIEVE them. Fans are “fair weather” people, followers are dedicated to the idea of sharing Gods love with the world. If we want to be effective, we need to be prepared physically, mentally and emotionally. We are either living a life that moves toward God or away from God. In the same way we are either living a life that moves toward health or disease. We can not have both, just as you can not walk backwards and forwards at the same time. The choice is ours, let’s walk together, in faith, to Him where we find true health and...

You’ve got the power….

Posted by on Oct 25, 2012 in Daily Inspiration |

“Let us live by the power of the Holy spirit to become an unstoppable force for spreading God’s love”  page 193 Vessels that Thrive. Feeling a little bit weighed down by the world? It happens. Sometimes I think we forget we have the awesome power of the Holy Spirit residing within us and we give in to our emotions rather than calling on that power to get us through. Lets all have a day where we can call on the holy spirit in a mighty way to do mighty things! In the words of the late 80’s- early 90’s rap group Snap! “I’ve got the power!” (if you grew up when I did you know you will have this song stuck in your head all day. Just think of the Holy Spirit when you sing it!!) 2 Timothy 1:7-” For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of...
